Garage Progress...

In anticipation of getting a cement floor poured for the garage before winter, Mark decided to do a little more today!

I helped him put the front pieces of wood onto the Garage....Can't remember what he called them.....the gutters attach to them....

Mark and Mack worked a few weeks ago running off some siding...still need a bit more, but it's coming along slowly, but surely!!!

Hopefully, we'll be able to get the floor in so that it won't be so wet and muddy this fall/winter/spring! Doors may have to wait until next year, but that's o.k.! We're getting it there!!

My new Pantry!!!

When Mack re-did his kitchen cabinets last year, we inherited their old hutch.....it's been sitting in our basement (like a lot of other things). I finally decided what to do with it!!!!

Pretty good use of space!!! Now...we just need to EAT all of that plus what we can this year and we'll be set!!! :o)

Mackie, Mackie, Mackie!!!

Today we had a little "Play Date" with several of Mackie & Creston's friends in honor of little Mackie's B-day!

All the Daddies got out in the yard and played ball with the little people! The mommies got out there too, but I took pictures of it all!!!

Then Mark made a bonfire and we all roasted hot dogs and marshmallows!! It was a pretty cool evening so the fire felt really good to all of us!!!

Money saving at its best!

Over the last few weeks, I've been following several blogs that "keep up with" the latest and greatest deals and coupons to give us the best deals ever! I used to clip coupons, but then it became a real headache especially since we have to go "off the Mountain" on Sundays to get a newspaper (for the coupons). If we're already out and about, then it's fine, but if you've got to make a special trip just to get a paper, that seems to go against the whole purpose of saving money! HOWEVER..........I have been hard at work, going through my most favorite "savings" sites and have posted a long list of them to the right of this post! The way I've got my blog-list set up shows the blogs that have posted most recently at the top of the list! You WANT to be constantly checking back on these posts as some of these people who keep up their sites do it RELIGOUSLY! They are on the ball with the deals! If you can catch something right when they post it, then you're pretty much good to go on the freebies! The coupons are usually there for a while so you can print them off at your convienience.

Well......I've done my job alerting you all to the special savings sites! Hopefully we'll all benefit from them and save a little $$$$!!!!

Mackie's FIRST Dentist Visit!!

Today was Mack's FIRST dentist visit! It went really well! He got to watch Creston get his teeth cleaned and then he wanted to lay down on the chair like "Cressie" and put the glasses on too! They also got to play a lot while waiting for the Dr. Hardaway to come check them out!

She did squirt water in his face a time or two, though......he muddled through it somehow!!

AAAAhhhhhhhh!!!!!

So proud of both my little men!!! They did so good today! Mackie, however, is also going to have a cross-bite like we had to have corrected with Creston......(Mark is Sooooooo excited about that!!! $$$$) AND, Mackie's top lip is attached to the gum-line between him front teeth! I felt so bad! I had never noticed that before today! The Doc. said that it was actually pretty common, and that we will wait until after he gets his "Big" teeth in to clip it. Most likely, Mackie will tear it before then, but if not, we'll do that little procedure later on. ALSO.....I was told that the pacifier does definately cause the cross-bite (also something MARK was a firm believer in), BUT, the Doc. said to start breaking Mackie off of his Pacifier slowly, and if he started to suck on his fingers, to wait a bit longer to break him of it....apparently, the Dentists would rather a child suck a paci. than their fingers! So THERE, Mark!!! Ha! I actually DO want him to stop using it, but he LOVES it so much.......we'll see how the stopping goes!)

Play Time!!!

We got together with some of Creston and Mackie's little friends today! We had a really good time at the new playground behind the Valley Crucis Elem. School!!! Really nice area! There was also a picnic shelter right next to the playground! All of the boys had a GREAT time!!!

Mackie's B-Day Pictures!

Yesterday was Mack's second Birthday! We had a big day! We went to church, then took Nana, Paw-Paw, & Aunt Jean to lunch at Hunan in Boone!!! Yummy!!!! Then, we went over to the Greenway Trail and walked around a bit and took some really great pictures. Then....we went home, took naps, and got up to have our PARTY!!! Nana & Paw-Paw came up and Mackie got to open his presents, play, and eat his yummy cake and ice cream!! Whoo Hoo!!! It was such a good day! We are so very thankful for this little boy who is now "2"!!
