Ron's 63rd Birthday!

My Step-Father's 63rd Birthday was yesterday and we got to come down to Eliz. and celebrate it with him and mom tonight! I baked him a cake (that fell) and we ate dinner with them! Mom whipped out the ice cream and then we all went outside to play and visit! It was a really good time! Thanks for letting us share it with you, Ron!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

This is a little Kill-Deer??? Birdie that loves to stay at Mom and Ron's. Thye lay their eggs on the ground and then sit there on them, guarding them from wild and crazy children....apparently, this bird likes mom and Ron's hours away!

Emergency Fest in Boone!

Today, we went to the Emergency Fest in Boone! Daddy had to work, so I loaded up the boys and went it alone!! They did pretty good....except for the fact that Creston HATES Helicopters up close, HATES Sparky-the-dog, and HATES loud noises....(They blew up something right as we got there!!). Other than that!!!, we had a GREAT time!!!! Here's a slide-show of the other pictures from the day!!!

Lots going on!

Whew! We've been busy lately! Lots of things going on and lots of pictures taken, but not enough time tonight to past-post like I try to do every couple of weeks or so! This summer is definately turning out to be a busy one! We've got something planned for just about every weekend from now until August, and a lot of days in-between! My Step-Father's 64th Birthday is tomorrow and Megan's 19th birthday is on Monday! Our Anniversary is coming up on the 23rd (8 years)!, and then Mackie's 2nd b-day is coming up on July 12th! In between all of that we're going to TRY to get to Pigeon Forge for a much needed mini-vacation. I LOVE the beach, but Creston keeps talking about Dollywood, so I guess we'll try that out and see about the beach this fall maybe?!?!?!?! (HOPEFULLY!!!!) We've not been to the beach since Mark and I were married and had our Honeymoon at Charleston! We had SUCH a good time then! Hot, but nice!!! We hope to go back there sometime for our anniversary soon! Maybe for our 10th? That would be nice!

The Swingset!

Paw-Paw decided that it was time to get the boys a slide and swingset, so off he, Mark, and Creston went to Lowes to get the stuff to create one! It is pretty well finished at this point other than adding a roof of some kind...I will be staining it soon to match the house and to seal it from the weather! They boys seem to LOVE it so far!!!!! They like to slide their toys down the slide!

Landscaping projects!

We've been working for EVER on getting our yard "fixed pretty"! It's taken longer than we expected (since I lost my job and the $ went away!). However, we've been working at it and it's finally coming together!!! Looking pretty good if I do say so myself!!! :o)

We've been working on creating a flower-bed border with rocks that are already on our property along with some bigger rocks that were left over after building our fireplace.

All done with the border! YAY!!! This is what everything SHOULD look like eventually, once we get all of the grass & weeds out of the front beds and get some mulch down.
At some point in time, we will finish the block that is showing on the bottom of the house. Mark and I have different ideas about what it should look like....I want rock, he wants something else...We'll probably wind up with the something else....that's how it goes!! :o)

Tow-'Mater in Boone!!!

Look at this! Someone in Town has done-up their tow truck like Mater from CARS!!! Isn't that CUTE!!??!!??

It's a PLANE!

Mark's Captain at the Fire Department lives right next to the airstrip in Boone! While out in that area one day, we saw a plane getting ready to take off, so we pulled over and let the boys watch!!
