Halloween 2009!

This year, for Halloween, I wanted the boys to dress up as "Halloween Themed" characters yet again (A Bat and a Skeleton), but Creston had other ideas! He woke up early one morning, came to me and said "Mommy, I CAN'T be a Skeleton this year for Halloween! I need to be Superman!!" He seemed sooooo into it, that Mark and I decided to take all of his Skeleton stuff back to the store and I got the stuff to make him a fairly decent Superman. Mackie, the bat, thus became Batman! We already had the mask, so it wasn't too bad either!

Here we are starting out our Halloween adventures at Nana's & Paw-Paws! Paw-Paw ALWAYS has to make those faces!!!

We met up with our friends and started the festivities in Downtown Boone! This is in front of the fire station.

All of us standing around when we were done at the Mall! We had a GREAT time with all of our friends! After this, we all parted ways and went on to individual houses! (after stopping by K-Mart for some diapers!!)
Here is one of our good friends, William Gray. We LOVE to go by his house every year at Halloween! He gives out the BEST treats and we made him one of our special Thank you cards!!

Here are the boys with Mrs. Betty! We always liked stopping by Betty and Gary's house on Halloween! They have always been so good to the boys and we were very glad that Mrs. Betty let us come to visit her this year! We love her and miss Mr. Gary so very much!

THIS is all of the loot that we got from out nights activities!!! :o) Quite a bit for 2 little men! I think they wouldn't mind if mommy and daddy helped them eat some of it!!! :o) (we better not tell them!!)

I've been trying to create a slideshow of the rest of our pictures! I took quite a few! However, it's not working just yet. If I get it up and running, it will go here!!! Check back!!

The Train!!!

We had to go into Spruce Pine today to get our Fireplace motor worked on.....AGAIN......and on the way out of town, Daddy pulled onto a street that ran right next to the CSX railroad!!! The boys were excited! We parked, got out, and took a few pictures! We couldn't get really close, but it was neat to see just how BIG that train really was!!!

Smelling the Punkin's!!

Since I'm the SMARTEST mommy in the world, I didn't think that leaving the Pumpkins out when it snowed (ON them) would affect them any..........WRONG!!!! All 3 of our pretty punkins got the rot on the tops.....one worse than the other two! When Mark left to go work with his Dad this morning in Newland, I told him that he'd have to pick us up another one to carve tonight! After he left, I got to thinking that if they weren't rotten all through, then we might could still use them, so off we set to opening up the tops!

Here, I told the boys to sniff to see if they smelled yucky or not!

They weren't rotten inside, but Creston decided that they smelled really bad anyway!
Then, Mackie saw Creston acting up, and....

He too, decided that the pumpkins were yucky! See Creston is sooo Happy that he influenced his brother in such a way!!

This was the yuckiest of the three! the top is all mushy. Creston is posing, and so Mackie did too!

I KNOW who's rotten, and it's NOT the pumpkins!!!!!

Pumpkin' Carving Time!!!

Here are the pictures that we took while carving this years pumpkins! Again, Smilebox and I aren't getting along, so I've posted a bunch of 'em!

Creston absolutely HATES the feeling of the punkin' guts on his hands! Last year, he wouldn't get them out at all!!! This year....
