Woolly WORMS!!!

This is the weekend of the Woolly Worm Festival here in Banner Elk!!! This is the weekend where all of the Crazy Nuts collect their worms and go race them up a string to see whose worm will be the "Winner" and get to predict our winter weather for the coming cold season.........

It's ALLLLL True!

Anyway.........we collect Worms each year and sell them to the Chamber of Commerce or to the Banner Elk School for $1.00 each! This year, we found 30! One died, so we only had 29, but once there, a nice lady gave us 5 to add to ours (she was over her limit of 50 by those 5), so we wound up with 34! $17.00 each for the boys to feed their piggies with!!!
